Visitor season is over, and it’s time for camping.

Like most camping trailers, there have been a few mechanical issues to sort out. The fridge is bigger, a lot more technologically advanced than the small Scamp fridge, and still not working right in the 90 degree Arizona desert.
But we won’t let those issues prevent us from having fun at Catalina State Park, which is only fifteen minutes from home.
Tonight there was live music at the park, playing the hits from the 60s and 70s.
Not a late night. We were back at the campsite in time to watch Mount Lemmon turn pink.

Sweet! And a nicely secluded site to boot.
Those dang RV fridges can be a challenge!
Live music is the best! There's something about it that brings out the best in artists.
I wore out several cassette tapes of Harry Chapin's live album as well as Neil Diamonds Hot August Nights at the Greek. Compared to those the studio albums are a little disappointing.
We used to go to a local Oprey every Saturday night with Elmer. The house band all had day jobs but were fantastic musicians. More than once, when a guest would do a piece they didn't know, one of them would step out front and turn around (back to the audience) where they could watch the guest's hands and play based on the fingering of the guest. The rest of the band would play from the que's of the member now facing them.
Saturday night was a beautiful night of music and Mountain views. Having a large bed and a real shower make Julia happy, but some of these complex systems with their circuit boards on the Lance make me long for the simplicity of the Scamp.
